Sarah heard this quote on a Chicago history tour and ever since, whenever Bradley would announce some crazy big idea we would all say “make no small plans!” (we misremembered it but we think our version is catchier).
Bradley never made little plans. He dreamed at an enormous scale—and then used his remarkable systems-thinking brain to work backward from the dream and determine how to make it real.
He considered the details, built the budget, gathered the materials, recruited other people, and got to work. From elaborate Hot Wheels cities and Dungeons & Dragons worlds to a backyard pond with a multilayer ecosystem, Bradley planned things and did things all the way.
He reminds us to dream bigger, think deeply, rally others, and just BEGIN!
